MailTemp Android app is now on Google Play

The MailTemp Android app is live on the Google Play Store. If you’ve been using mailtemp.uk on your phone’s browser and wanting something built for the phone instead, this is it.

Why bother with an app

The website works in a mobile browser. It just doesn’t work that well. You have to keep the tab open, refresh manually, switch between apps to grab a verification code, and hope the browser doesn’t unload the page while you’re gone. Anyone who has tried to sign up for a trial from their phone knows what that’s like.

The app handles all of that for you. It runs in the background, pings you when mail arrives, and sits one tap away on your home screen.

What it does

You open the app, you have an inbox. No sign-up, no email confirmation, no asking for a real email address so it can give you a fake one. Same as the website.

A few things the app does that the browser version doesn’t:

You get push notifications when mail lands in any of your temporary inboxes. You can keep more than one address active at the same time, which is useful when you’re signing up for different things in parallel.

It checks for new mail in the background, so you don’t have to keep the app open while you wait for a 6-digit code.

Messages you’ve already received stay readable offline. Useful when your signal drops and you still need to look at something.

Any address can be copied with a single tap.

The interface uses Material 3 with light and dark themes, following your system setting by default. The app is currently translated into English, Turkish, Russian, Spanish, and German.

Privacy

Same as on the website. No registration, no personal data collected, nothing shared with third parties.

Also: Chrome extension is now v2.5.3

A quick note for desktop users. The MailTemp Chrome extension has been updated to v2.5.3 with stability fixes and minor improvements on top of the v2.5.2 feature set. If it’s already installed, Chrome will update it on its own. Otherwise:
